Different styles of illustration

This first illustration I found I really like as although its simple and includes small vectored shapes that have been coloured with block colour although brush like textures, I like the simple ink like strokes.
I believe this will have been an ink illustration then placed into photoshop or illustrator to brighten up colours , maybe connect separate elements and to place on a background.

This is a more of a photorealist piece which will have been done over a photograph to create light and shade with blending and shadowing.
This is done with specific detail and makes a good attempt to looking very photo realistic, this is something I could try to create my front cover of an image of a typical mod.

The illustration below looks very simple, modern and slick. This idea might be effective on a front cover by creating a simple drawing of items that are relate to mods and/or an image of a mod.
I could do this in illustrator with the pencil took and to create the fluid and sketch like strokes, this could be done quite nicely to create a different and creative image to stand out in the creative review magazine as it makes for a different sort of artwork that I have previously seen in the magazine.

This is another sketchy type of illustration and is very organic and looks like a hand drawn sketch. This piece is very similar to a fashion illustration, this might be an appropriate way to create my final piece due to the fact that alot of the cultural capital associated with mods is there fashion sense.
